Huggies Suck!
I am so unhappy with Huggies. Danika has been leaking with Huggies so I thought that if I changed her diaper more often (even though I have been changing her every 2 hours) than there would be no more leaks. I was wrong. Last night she leaked through her clothes and onto her bedding so I changed her bedding. While I was dressing her she leaked again. Once again I changed her. All of this at 5:00 am and while she was asleep in my arms. URG!!!! I just wanted to go to bed but nope stupid Huggies took a simple task and made it into a bigger thing than it should have been. I am not a fan of Huggies!!! Danika will be a Pampers baby.

Up every hour!!!
Not sure about everyone else but last night I was up every hour. When Danika was born I knew I would be up every 2-3 hours but no one told me about the every hour bit. I read in my What To Expect The 1st Year book that this is normal and that Ms. Danika is probably going through a growth spurt. I guess babies go through these spurts at 3 wks, 6 wks, and 3 months. What the book doesn't say is how long this little period will last. Even in my partying years I never was able to keep these kind of hours. I am one that LOVES my sleep. Don't get me wrong I LOVE being a mom and will get up as many times as my daughter needs me to but heck I feel like I am in a fog today. Danika is finally asleep at this hour so I will get in a cat nap while I can. Talk with you later!!!

2 weeks already!
I cannot believe my baby is 2 weeks old already. Where has the time gone? I need to find a way to pause life. I want Danika to be little for as long as possible. When I looked at her today I couldn't help but think that she is not looking like a baby anymore. Any suggestions on how to make her stay little?
Danika is a great baby! She only cries when she needs to be feed or wants her pants changed. She is just like her father and wants to stay up all night long. She is staying on the same schedule she was on during the pregnancy. She is very active from midnight to 3 am and then sleeps for 2 to 3 hours. During her wide awake hours she looks at me with her beautiful big eyes as if she wants to have some deep conversation. Oh how I love that daughter of mine. I have a daughter. I cannot get over that. I love saying those words!!!
Well my daughter is waking up so mommy is off to take her in my arms and love on her!!! bye
