I am going against the grain here but oh well! Danika is a formula baby. I know breast is best but it was not working. I tried. I really did. I gave it the good old girl scout try. I was pumping for a while but was not getting enough so in addition to the breast milk Danika was also receiving formula. After a week and a half of this it wasn't working either so now Danika is a strictly formula fed baby. I had a hard time coming to this decision and still am finding myself having separation anxiety from my faithful pump. After a little while I will feel more comfortable with this decision. For now I will just have to accept what it is and move on.
On another note!!! Danika's 1st christmas was wonderful!!! The whole family came over to see her.She was passed around like a little football. She tolerated everything very well. What a great kid I have!!! Darling Hubby was having a hard time with it but he was ok after a little while.

Your experience sounds just like mine. Don't worry, you did your best, and even that little bit of breast milk she got in those first few days will help her, so feel good that she's off to a good start. And formula is fine. Even if the crazies tell you different. :) Hang in there, mama, and keep lovin' that little bundle!
